Christian is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Small World New Media.
Christian has a science degree, is studying for an Exec MBA and has previous experience as an IP and Brand Specialist, as Head of Legal, IP at Standard Chartered Bank and the General Counsel for its Brand Management subsidiary and more recently as a Director at Brand Finance, part of Brand Finance plc, the pre-eminent brand and strategic marketing consultancy in the world.
Christian is the co-founder of an online portal business in Singapore and is the Lead franchisor for the Eastern Hemisphere for a successful online travel and news, events and lifestyle portal.
Christian specializes in Brand management, licensing, franchise development, online media franchising, luxury good and helping clients maximise brand value as part of their brand and marketing strategies.

Christian has managed legal and business, finance and operations teams in U.K. and Singapore and indirectly managed teams in countries throughout Asia, Africa and the Middle East, on IP matters, brand, e-commerce, IT and internet projects, M&A and a variety of complex IP matters, both individually to establish functions and at other times with teams in 30+ countries.
Christian has worked in the IP, ecommerce and brand field for more than 18 years, the last 10 of which have been in Asia.
He has worked closely with stakeholders in banking, advertising and media and with procurement and strategic functions as well as marketing and sales teams to devise policies and standards in relation to all in-house brand, corporate affairs, media and legal processes including patents, trademarks, HR, sales, brand, risk and general management policies and processes.
Christian holds a B.Sc in Pharmacology, is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and has a post-graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from Bristol University, England. He has worked in private practice and in-house, the latter for the last 12 years. He has lived and worked in Asia for over 10 years, gaining a broad expertise in all major markets and particular exposure to contentious and non-contentious IP legal practices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Japan, China, India, Thailand and Indonesia. He has also lived and worked in U.K., Italy and France.
In private practice, he focused on e-commerce as well as patent, trademark, music, media and other IP litigation and non-contentious transactional work
He has worked for a variety of private practice clients and for clients in-house, including Barclays Capital (BZW), before joining Standard Chartered Bank.
